Key Principles for Families

  • Adult Supervised Family Experience: MyWunderTale is intended for children under parent or guardian supervision. Only adults (18+) may accept these terms.
  • Imagination, Not Instructions: Stories are fictional bedtime entertainment. Characters sharing your child's name are fictional representations.
  • Safe Listening Practices: Keep volume at safe levels, supervise bedtime device placement, and never place devices or cables in cribs or bedding.
  • Non-Commercial Family License: Stories, artwork, and voices are for your personal family listening. Automated extraction or scraping is strictly prohibited.

1. Agreement and overview

Welcome to MyWunderTale. These terms are an agreement between you and Attain AI Labs LLC, Bellevue, Washington, USA ("Attain AI Labs", "we", "us"), and govern your use of the MyWunderTale mobile application and our website (mywundertale.com). By downloading, accessing, or using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

2. Who can use this app

MyWunderTale is a family app intended for children to enjoy under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Only an adult who is at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) may accept these terms. By continuing, you confirm that you are a parent or guardian who is responsible for setting up the app, managing child profiles, and deciding whether the content is appropriate for your family.

3. Changes and availability

MyWunderTale is actively developed. Features, story content, voices, and the narration model may be added, changed, or removed in updates without notice. Like any software, the app and website may contain bugs, audio issues, or setup problems, and we do not guarantee that they will always be available or error-free. Updates may require you to review and accept revised terms, and we may retire the app, website, or particular content in the future.

4. What the app does

MyWunderTale prepares a narration model on your device during first setup and then generates personalized audio stories entirely on your device. After the one-time setup, no internet connection is required to play stories. All child profiles and personalization data are stored locally on your device.

5. Parent supervision and safety

MyWunderTale stories are intended for listening and imagination, not as instructions to act out story events. A parent or guardian should supervise app use and decide whether a story, theme, character action, or activity mentioned in a story is appropriate for each child. Children should not attempt unsafe, risky, unlawful, or unsupervised actions because they heard them in a story.

The sleep timer and autoplay features let stories continue after a parent leaves the room. These are convenience features, not supervision. You remain responsible for the device, the volume level, the use of headphones, and the child's surroundings.

6. Device, hearing, and sleep safety

  • Hearing safety: Keep the volume at a comfortable level, especially when a child uses headphones or earbuds. Prolonged listening at high volume can damage hearing.
  • Device temperature and charging: Narration is generated on the device while a story plays. This is intensive processing that can warm the device and use battery. Do not cover a playing device with pillows, blankets, or bedding, and do not leave a device charging in a child's bed.
  • Safe sleep environment: Keep devices, cables, and chargers out of cribs and bassinets and away from infants and toddlers. Follow the safe-sleep guidance of your pediatrician or local health authority.
  • Distracted situations: Do not interact with the app while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention.
  • Non-medical disclaimer: MyWunderTale is not a sleep aid, sleep training programme, or medical or therapeutic product, and it is not a baby monitor or an emergency or safety service.

7. Health considerations

If your child has a medical, developmental, sensory, or mental health condition that could be affected by audio content, bedtime routines, screen use, or emotionally engaging stories (for example anxiety, sleep disorders, or sensory sensitivities), consult a qualified professional before using the app and use your own judgment about which stories are suitable.

8. Ownership and limited license

MyWunderTale, including the app design, website design, story templates, story text, artwork, cover images, branding, software, and other original content, is owned by Attain AI Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these terms, Attain AI Labs LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and website for private family listening and evaluation.

You may not copy, scrape, extract, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, sublicense, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise use MyWunderTale app content, website content, story text, artwork, audio, branding, or software except as expressly allowed by the app or with prior written approval from Attain AI Labs LLC.

9. Appropriate use

MyWunderTale is for personal family use only. Please do not:

  • Redistribute the app, model files, or generated story audio without written permission from Attain AI Labs LLC.
  • Use the app or website for commercial purposes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass technical protections, extract source code, extract app assets, misuse the narration model, or access app content in a way not intended by the app.
  • Enter names, terms, or pronunciations intended to make the narration produce offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content.

10. Website terms of use

When you visit or use our website (mywundertale.com), the following additional terms apply:

  • Informational use: The website is provided solely to furnish general product information, app download links, legal documentation, and family support resources.
  • Website analytics: We use Google Analytics on our website to collect aggregate, non-personally identifiable traffic metrics to measure site performance and improve usability, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. Google Analytics is not used for advertising, behavioral targeting, or cross-app tracking, and is not integrated into the MyWunderTale mobile application.
  • No scraping or automated extraction: You agree not to use automated tools, bots, scrapers, crawlers, or extraction scripts to harvest website images, screenshots, branding assets, code, or documentation without our prior written consent.
  • Third-party links: The website provides links to external platforms, including the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Attain AI Labs LLC is not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party platforms.
  • Website availability: We strive to maintain continuous uptime, but the website is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or interrupted at any time for maintenance, upgrades, or security updates.

11. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy and appropriateness of child and grown-up profiles and pronunciations you enter in the app.
  • Reviewing story content and deciding whether it is appropriate for your child.
  • Supervising your child's use of the app and helping them understand that stories are fictional entertainment, not instructions or advice.
  • The physical safety of your child while using the device, including volume, headphones, charging, and where the device is placed.
  • Keeping your device secure, since all family data is stored locally on it.

12. Story content and personalisation

MyWunderTale creates personalised audio stories by inserting your child's name and pronouns, and optionally how a parent or caregiver is addressed, into fictional story templates. The stories are entertainment only. They are not biographical, educational, psychological, or factual accounts of your child or family.

Story characters share your child's name but are fictional. Story events, traits, actions, and portrayals are generated from templates and are not intended to represent your child's real personality, abilities, or experiences. Attain AI Labs LLC is not responsible for any dissatisfaction with how a character based on your child's name is depicted in a story.

Because stories use your child's name, a child may feel that story events happened to them or reflect on them personally. Some stories include mild suspense, mistakes, disappointment, fear, or sadness that is resolved within the story, as is common in children's literature. Age ranges shown in the app are general guidance only and are not a rating or certification by any board or authority. We recommend that a parent or guardian listens to a story first, or listens alongside a young child the first time a story is played. If a child is upset or frightened by a story, stop playback, talk with your child, and hide the story from the library. Attain AI Labs LLC is not responsible for a child's emotional reaction to story content.

By entering a child's name into the app, you consent to that name being used to personalise story content in this way. If you are not comfortable with a particular story's portrayal, you can hide that story from the library.

If you do not enter a child profile, some stories may use default placeholder names. These names are fictional template defaults. They are not inferred from your device, account, contacts, location, microphone, photos, online sources, or any other personal data source. Any match to a real person is coincidental.

13. Facts, cultures, and sensitive topics

Some stories may include references to real places, cultures, traditions, languages, nature, science, history, or everyday facts. We try to make story content respectful and age-appropriate, but story content is for entertainment and may contain simplifications, omissions, mistakes, pronunciation issues, or factual inaccuracies. Do not rely on MyWunderTale as an authoritative source for educational, cultural, historical, scientific, medical, legal, safety, or other factual guidance.

We do not intend to offend, disrespect, misrepresent, or hurt the sentiments of any person, family, community, culture, religion, nationality, or group, either intentionally or unintentionally. If a listener finds any content inaccurate, uncomfortable, inappropriate, or offensive, the parent or guardian should stop using that story and may hide it from the library or share feedback with us.

14. Reporting content

If you believe a story contains content that is unsafe, harmful, or inappropriate for children, please tell us through the in-app feedback form or by email at info@attainAILabs.com, including the story title. We review reports and may edit or remove content, but we do not promise to change or remove any particular story.

15. No guarantees

MyWunderTale is provided for family entertainment. It is not a medical, therapeutic, educational, factual reference, or safety service. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, appropriateness, cultural interpretation, factual completeness, or educational value of generated stories. Story content is reviewed but it may occasionally be imperfect.

16. Assumption of risk

You understand that listening to stories, using audio devices, and bedtime routines involve ordinary risks that only a supervising adult can manage. You accept those risks and agree that Attain AI Labs LLC does not supervise your child, your device, or your home, and cannot prevent a child from imitating, misunderstanding, or reacting to story content.

17. Voice setup and third-party model technology

Some features require preparing the narration model on first setup. The model is normally included with the app, but if the included voice files are unavailable or cannot be prepared, the app may fall back to an online download. Setup may fail due to network issues, insufficient device storage, or service availability. We are not responsible for failed or incomplete setup.

MyWunderTale uses the Kokoro text-to-speech model for on-device narration. Kokoro is an open-source model licensed under the Apache License 2.0, a copy of which is available from the Licenses screen in Settings. MyWunderTale ships a modified variant of the Kokoro model package prepared by Attain AI Labs LLC. Kokoro's authors are not affiliated with, sponsoring, or endorsing MyWunderTale, and are not responsible for the app or its content.

18. Feedback

MyWunderTale includes optional general and error feedback forms. The parental gate must be passed before a form can be opened, ensuring feedback is submitted by an adult. Error feedback may include optional, sanitized diagnostic information only when the adult leaves diagnostic sharing enabled and submits the form. An error message can always be dismissed without submitting information.

When you submit feedback, you grant Attain AI Labs LLC a perpetual, royalty-free right to use that feedback and any included diagnostics to investigate problems and improve the app. We will not compensate you for feedback. You may also contact us by email at info@attainAILabs.com. Please do not include your child's name or sensitive personal details in any feedback, in-app or by email.

19. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyWunderTale is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app or website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular child.

20. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Attain AI Labs LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors are not responsible for any loss, damage, offense, dissatisfaction, misunderstanding, emotional distress, injury, unsafe action, or harm resulting from your use of the app or website, including data loss, device issues, story content, factual inaccuracies, cultural or personal interpretations, a child's reaction to a story, or a child attempting to imitate story events.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Attain AI Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or relating to the app or website, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the app or website will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars (USD 50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury, death, or negligence. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limits above apply only to the extent permitted by law, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

21. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Attain AI Labs LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or use of the app by a child under your supervision in a way these terms warn against.

22. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your license at any time if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the app or website. Sections on ownership, feedback, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law survive termination.

23. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the app will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at info@attainAILabs.com and make a good-faith attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

24. App store terms

If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app store, the store's terms also apply. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the extent required by Apple's terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you, and Apple has no responsibility for any warranty, product liability, intellectual property, or legal compliance claim relating to the app.

25. General provisions

These terms are the entire agreement between you and Attain AI Labs LLC regarding MyWunderTale. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of the MyWunderTale business.

We may update these terms as the app and website evolve. We will update the date at the top of this document when we do, and the app will ask you to review and accept the updated terms before continuing. If you disagree with updated terms, stop using the app and uninstall it.
